Allocative Efficiency

Allocative efficiency is when resources are allocated in the most efficient way from society's point of view. In other words the market is said to be socially efficient.

Allocative efficiency exisists where Community Surplus (consumer surplus and producer surplus) is maximized.

At equilibrium where demand is equal to suppy, community surplus is maximised.
